Jerry was 12 years old when he bought his first 8mm film camera. Inspired by visual effects movies, bursting with innovation, he tried his hand at double exposures, mixing stop-motion and live action, learning cinematic storytelling in glorious 8mm kodachrome. Alongside his love of filmmaking he got his hands on a TI99-4A computer and began making video games for fun.

Flash forward a few decades and O'Flaherty’s award winning Art Directoral work on the massively successful GEARS OF WAR found him shaping a cinematic world more visceral than had been experienced, to that date, in a video game.

Jerry loves using cutting edge tools in order to present the audience with something they haven’t seen before. His nuanced knowledge of the technology, and how it can elevate the emotional experience has been a key part of his work for clients such as: EPIC GAMES, RIOT GAMES, FACEBOOK, EA, WB, NIKE, GEARBOX, 2K GAMES, QUMU, METEOR.
